After enrolling in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in 2023, she embarked on her legal career at GK Law Firm under the mentorship of Advocate T.C. Gopalakrishnan, specializing in writ and criminal law practice at the Madras High Court. Her experience extends to various judicial forums, including the Debts Recovery Tribunal, National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Consumer Court, and District Courts.

Beyond legal practice, Thilagavathy is an accomplished legal educator and motivational speaker, having served as a faculty member at We Shine Academy, Dexter Academy, and IIT Spectrum. She has also taken guest lectures in numerous colleges and actively contributed to legal awareness programs.
