He holds an MBBS, MD, MHA, FHM, PDCR, LLB, and LLM, reflecting his extensive academic background. Throughout his career, Dr. Anand has been instrumental in shaping national policies and spearheading disaster management initiatives, positively impacting countless lives. His collaborations with esteemed organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) have been pivotal in advancing health and education for underserved communities. Currently, he serves as a Member of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), under the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India. ​
